My son was watching "Angels in the Outfield" for the umpteenth time yesterday. For a not-so-little guy at 13, he is a remarkable guy, always open to greater realities, and always asking questions. While the movie is certainly a very Hollywood look at angels, it got me thinking...
Angels really are everywhere. In my work, never does a day pass without communicating a message from an angel to someone, or even something for me.
One experience I had a few months ago illustrates this. I was meditating and praying, as I do every morning, when I was immediately overcome with this single question, "Is my angel here?"
Something urged me to open my eyes, and there were three powerful angels standing in my office! I was overwhelmed, but in my very matter-of-fact old Hebrew mentality, asked, "When did you get here?"
They looked at me with a sort of mild amusement (those who know me are certain to know that look!), and said plainly, "We've always been here, protecting you and helping you every day."
Take some time to talk to your angels today and every day. They are with you, helping you and protecting you.
In a time where so much chaos, anger, confusion, and hatred abound, calling on your angels is the BEST thing you can do!
Saint Michael the Archangel, enfold me in your wings. Thwart the designs of evil, and help me to accomplish the mission of healing and light I've been given. You who stand at the throne of God, defend me and protect me! Amen!
