Our Guides are crazy sometimes.
Often when Guides come through in a reading, it can be a tremendous relief. Life circumstances are lining up, changes are on the horizon, and people are starting to get connected or re-connected with their life-purpose. Remember your own experiences when that relief came, and how wonderful it felt!
But then something happens...
Imagine coming to the reading with some very specific questions about your life, and your Guides and Angels say, "Wait. It's not time yet. You've got some work to do first."
I've had that happen a number of times, and I've nearly screamed in frustration! I wanted to get out of the cruddy mess I was in. I wanted the good news. I wanted everything to be ready for me. And my Guides and Angels - the ones who are supposed to be so full of love and life - are telling me to wait! Oh please!
You know the feeling, don't you?
There are two ways to handle this when it happens. First, you could just keep cajoling things until you hear what you want to hear. Some people go to a different psychic. Some people call the "psychic hotline". The bad news is that even though the "psychic" told you what you wanted to hear, your circumstances won't change. Your Guides don't change their minds like that. You've still got work to do. And you know it, too.
The direct way to handle it is to start asking yourself - and your Guides - the tough questions. What am I avoiding? Why do I not want to get out of my comfort zone? Why don't I trust like I want to? What (or who) am I holding onto that I need to let go?
Then listen to the response...and take action on it. Don't do what I do sometimes: just sit there and say, "Uh-huh. Yup. I get it," and then do nothing. Our Guides and Angels are *helping* us, not trying to test us. They expect us to do the work, because that's the only way we'll grow and evolve. Becoming the best version of ourselves and having our best life isn't like waving a magic wand.
When our life changes, our Guides and Angels still want us to work to build the life of our dreams. When we don't do the work, we don't grow, and we end up with the same problems we had before.
When my Guides and Angels tell me to wait, I start asking those hard questions. I start doing the work I've been putting off or avoiding out of fear or laziness. Then the doors open.
I've always found this to be true. And I think you will, too.
