I had a wonderful time on Saturday, giving readings at the monthly Aurapalooza in the Minneapolis area! Hosted by renowned psychic medium Echo Bodine, the Aurapalooza happens every 3rd Saturday of the month, and offers a wide selection of psychics, mediums and healers. I am there every month, and it is always a wonderful experience! The address for the Aurapalooza is: 8 W. 66th St., Richfield, MN. I hope to see you there in the future! I had a lovely time presenting an Angel & Mediumship Party in Iowa this past weekend. Although it went a bit longer than usual, the connections, validations and moments of spirit contact were worth the time. I'm always amazed and delighted with the amount of connection and healing that takes place at home parties, which is probably why I love to present them so much! Yikes! I went to write this article, only to discover that it's been nearly an entire MONTH since my last post! If you're following the blog, please accept my apologies. This has been a month of many transitions. First child off to college. Transitions to new schools for two other children. And then a few more complex situations that had to be dealt with on top of that. It's been a very busy month of transitions. So how does a psychic medium handle transitions? Well, it's a mixed bag. The reality is that transitions are difficult, no matter how you look at them. They are necessary, and sometimes they can be very messy. The complex network of relationships, coupled with dynamics and emotions going up and down at the drop of a hat, make transitions less than ideal. But the reality is that transitions are important for life. When we have change, it shows that there are opportunities for growth, evolution and unfolding possibilities. While many want stability and permanence, often these are the way to a boring life, indeed sometimes deadly. Remember that the most stable and permanent are often cold, inflexible and rigid, not living and life-giving to others. So if you're going through transitions right now, or will be soon, remember that the only way through a transition is THROUGH. If you try to go around it, or hide from it, not only does it make the experience worse; it also makes for a boring life with zero growth for you, and everyone around you doesn't receive the benefit of a new and improved you. Embrace transitions and grow; it's really worth it! There seems to be a part of us that enjoys pointing out flaws, difficulties and imperfections. Much of this stems from a point in our evolution that required us to see weaknesses, either to exploit them (in the case of a battle) or to avoid them (in the case of a potentially dangerous situation). In either case, the pointing out of flaws was a matter of survival. While this is still helpful at times, the truth is that many situations don't require such split-second evaluations for the survival of the species. Instead, it can be a matter of preferences, opinions, and changing thoughts. Have you ever thought about gratitude for what is already around you? For what you already have? There are so many things around you at every moment that you can be grateful for. So many things to be in awe of, delighting over. So much that can motivate you. So much that you can love. Pay attention to the world around you. Rediscover gratitude. It will change you for the better, and you will happily discover that you are a beautiful soul! Over the millennia, there have been a number of ways to have insight into the spiritual realm. Meditation, cards, bones, numbers, stars, and a host of other techniques have been discovered and developed to make this possible, and more are being created every year. Scrying is a time-honored method that is slightly different. While a number of other approaches use physical phenomena, Scrying uses the mind itself. When someone scrys, they look into the object, which is either reflective or transparent, and allows their mind to wander. Eventually an image, word or even memory presents itself in this almost daydream mental state. This is the spiritual realm revealing something through our unconscious mind. Learning to scry can be learned in an hour or two, but takes a long time to master. I'm sure you've heard of crystal balls being used for Scrying. I have one myself, and use it from time to time. There are other materials as well, such as a glass of water, a mirror, or even a mirror painted black. Most any reflective or transparent surface can be used for scrying. The key is to pay attention to what comes through, and, of course, validate what you see with your spiritual eyes. As I write this post, I just finished a reading with a client, whose parent came through with the strongest scent that I have ever experienced. I have written in the past about psychic senses, and how they correlate with our physical senses. There is one psychic sense, however, that truly is strange: Clairolfaction. Clairolfaction is the sense of psychic smell. It is characterized by a sudden smell that is almost physical in sensation. It might be sweet, sour, or like a cologne or perfume, as it was in the reading I just gave. It comes on very suddenly, and can disappear just as quickly once it is acknowledged. On top of this smell, is the little-known reality that smell is one of the strongest connectors we have to memories. As such, the memories that it triggers in the medium are just as important as the connection of the smell to the person receiving the reading. So the next time you smell something with no apparent source, ask your guardian angel who might be trying to connect with you! There sometimes is a bit of confusion between psychics and mediums. I recently received an email from someone who mentioned a situation, and then added, "of course, you're not psychic, so I won't bother with that," thinking that a medium isn't psychic. I go over the difference between psychic and mediums at Psychic Parties and Seances, but it can easily be forgotten. So for a quick overview, here's the difference between psychics and mediums. Psychics have the ability to know things, almost by instinct: things such as a what a person in thinking, what is behind locked doors, or even the contents of an envelope. There are even a few psychics who have special abilities such as stopping watches or bending metal objects. Psychics get their information from there own abilities. Mediums can connect with the Other Side, bringing forth message from loved ones, guides and angels, including validating information. Information is received from Spirit. Mediums also possess psychic abilities. The key point distinction is that all mediums are also psychic, but psychics are not mediums. The Etheric Double is a layer of the aura that is closest to your body. It is much like an additional skin that covers a person, much like a body stocking. Usually, it is between one sixteenth and a half-inch wide, having a very uniform thickness all over the body. It is often clear and colorless, though I have seen some people that have had a grayish tinge present for their Etheric Double. At first sight, it appears to be a bit of space between the body and the aura (color) itself. However, upon closer examination, it is a delicate mesh, with very fine darker colored lines. Dr. Kilner in his book "The Human Aura," mentions that the etheric double looks larger in people who are I'll. He also states that when people are experiencing emotional problems, the etheric double is highly visible, and the aura itself is dull-looking in appearance. While the etheric double is colorless, it is still present, though not often included in aura paintings or photos. There has been a growing trend with getting tarot readings online. Often this is because the reading is for free. There are also "pick-a-card" or "pick-a-symbol" readings on social media. While it might seem inviting and interesting, be careful! Readings are a shared experience between the psychic and the client. When it gets delegated to the choice of three cards from a computer, or other non-human means, the organic and relational aspects of the reading go out the window. I have worked with clients who have been badly burned by these experiences. I have seen jobs lost, relationships destroyed, and even lives lost, due to the artificial advice given by an AI-generated reading, which is taken seriously by the client. If you are in need of help, contact a psychic person, not a program. Money should not be an issue. That's why there are so many options that I offer ranging in price, including e-mail based readings, where you ask me a question, and I tune into Spirit to answer it. Be careful with websites and AI-generated readings. I have always made it a point to say that I'm not out to prove to anyone that I have abilities. I simply use the gifts that I have to help others connect with themselves and loved ones for their growth and healing. Yes, there have been skeptics who I have done readings for, who ultimately changed their mind after the reading was over. And there were others who didn't. Am I bothered? No. The fact is that it takes just as much faith to be a skeptic as it does to be a psychic. Everyone looks at the evidence from different angles, often with their own prejudices and biases. As I tell my students, those who believe really don't need any proof. And those who don't believe will never find enough proof to convince them. |
